The position:

The past few years have been a time of phenomenal growth and development for Candide Group. We launched the Olamina Fund, a $40M debt vehicle creatively providing access to capital to women and communities of color, onboarded a number of new advisory clients, and added 15-20 new investee relationships to our clients’ combined portfolios every year.

With our investment activity increasing in scope, pace and complexity, we are seeking a full-time Portfolio Analytics Manager to improve our ability to oversee and support our clients’ portfolios.


Responsibilities will fall in the following areas:

  1. Ongoing portfolio monitoring and oversight:  

    • Ensure that all investees are complying with their reporting requirements and we are receiving everything from them in a timely manner

    • Along with the investment team, digest/process information as it is received from investees to capture key performance information (eg. business and impact progress, changes in valuation, etc.)

    • Flag key dates with specific action items (e.g. extensions/maturities, payments due, etc.).

  2. Develop and maintain standardized portfolio management systems, tools, and processes:

    • Design and implement portfolio tracking systems that can efficiently generate performance reports per client/portfolio, as well as across clients/portfolios. This may involve building an in-house solution (with support from outside consultants) and/or implementation of an existing solution (e.g. Addepar)

    • Design and implement a system to capture ongoing updates from investees (e.g. financial KPIs, qualitative updates, impact and diversity metrics, etc). This may be folded into the portfolio tracking system above, and/or may involve additional tools (eg. CRM, Notes, Asana, etc.).

  3. Generate portfolio reports for clients and prospective clients: 

    • Coordinate and manage the process of generating quarterly reports for Candide’s advisory clients

    • Generate portfolio performance reports for Candide’s marketing/sales materials (RFPs, prospective client presentations, etc.).

  4. Develop systems for portfolio/investee support:

    • Identify and track portfolio needs where Candide may be able to provide support

    • Design systems for Candide to capture and track those needs

    • Develop (or oversee the development of) shareable content/frameworks for investees (E.g. hiring tools, term sheet library, etc).


The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years experience in portfolio management, analytics, and/or operations

  • Is comfortable with and passionate about developing and operationalizing standard processes and systems that can scale along with Candide’s portfolio

  • Is able to absorb a large amount of information from portfolio investees, while effectively distilling that information to focus on key insights

  • Has a high level of comfort with IT/software tools involved in tracking/managing Candide’s portfolios (eg CRM, spreadsheets, etc.)

  • Is passionate about supporting the success of founders and managers in Candide’s portfolios, has genuine curiosity about the businesses and love for the people behind the businesses

  • Is deeply committed to social change and to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (a true JEDI), while knowing it takes organization, strategy, and systems to achieve it.

Hours, Compensation, and Benefits:

Full time. $95,000-125,000. Additionally we offer standard benefits such as health insurance and an employer-contributed 401k.
