ICM Fellow, Talent & Diversity (Fall/Winter 2022)

Remote, Eastern Time Zone (Opportunity to work from ICM office if based in NYC)

This is a part-time role (~10 hours a week) that offers a competitive stipend


Impact Capital Managers mission is to accelerate the performance of our members and to scale the impact investing marketplace with integrity and authenticity. We do this through our membership association, which today includes 90+ funds representing more than $40B in impact-focused private capital, and through field-building initiatives and partnerships. The ICM network of peers is engaged and collaborative by nature. General partners join our community to find resources and to be a resource to others in equal measure. As part of our commitment to grow the marketplace with integrity, members must meet certain criteria and admission is by invitation only.

The Fall 2022 ICM Fellow will support the Director of Programs, and will focus on the continued development of ICM’s Talent & Diversity work, namely continued improvements to and execution of the Mosaic Fellowship and discrete projects identified by the ICM Talent & Diversity Working Group. These projects could include developing formal partnerships to relevant industry groups, developing an event series for members on sourcing and managing talent, to name a few. Final deliverables will likely look like a clear project plan for the 2023 Mosaic Fellowship and detailed project plans for identified Talent & Diversity projects.

The successful candidate will be able to commit to appx. 10 hours a week from early September 2022 through the end of the year (2022). This role will likely extend through the spring. This is primarily a remote position and as such the Fellow is expected to use her/his/their own computer and WiFi and will connect to meetings by phone and Zoom.


  • Thorough review and synthesis of the Mosaic Fellowship to date (participant feedback, materials developed, etc) and development of a memo/project plan on suggested improvements and next steps for 2023 offering;

  • Thorough review of ICM’s Talent & Diversity Working group and development of a suggested memo/project plan on next steps/key projects to undertake;

  • Support execution of program improvements to Mosaic Fellowship (as agreed upon with Director); and

  • Support execution of discrete projects, identified and agreed upon after initial scoping work.


  • Prior experience developing programs and managing projects, creating details project plans and clear delineation of roles and responsibilities;

  • Experience working in talent management, with a specific focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion is a plus;

  • Independent, enterprising self-starter who is comfortable working in a small team in a start-up atmosphere and taking on a high level of responsibility for both administrative and strategic projects;

  • Excellent communication skills, including business writing ability, and an eye for design; and

  • Understanding of or experience in the impact investing industry is a plus.

You will also build skills in operations and nonprofit management while working on mission-critical projects.
