Department description / job purpose / role:

Located at Allianz’s headquarters in Munich, the Global Sustainability department drives the industry-leading sustainability strategy of Allianz Group, it integrates climate, environmental, social and governance considerations in our business and operations.The Global Sustainability Office is looking for an intern (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible for a period of 3-6 months.

In this role, you will support with key activities and overall project management in the Sustainability Office as well as overarching initiatives of the Global Sustainability department.

Key responsibilities:

• You will work in a diversified and challenging environment, which allows active involvement with increasing responsibilities in a high-performing, agile, dynamic team. Your tasks may include:
• Support with Project Management
• Create presentations and other material on sustainability activities
• Support with execution of various projects and strategic initiatives
• Manage daily tasks and ad-hoc requests
• Carry out other special tasks as needed

Qualification

• You are currently working towards a university degree (master, PhD) in finance, management, sustainability, economics, business administration, environmental sciences, environmental engineering and/or any other related field.
• Knowledge and/or a interest in sustainable business practices, responsible investment and ESG issues are an asset.
• Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of insurance, investment, sustainability, project management, consulting and/or communications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; German or another European language an asset.

• Strong ability to think and act independently, to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations, with a focus on problem-solving skills
• Proactive, flexible and energetic team players with a strong personal interest in sustainability issues, environmental problems and societal concerns
• High attention to detail and ability to work on different work-streams at the same time
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications ( PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
