Looking for a junior analyst interested in building a career in impact finance / innovative financing / impact investing. The role will be split across two different projects: Impact Finance Pro (career platform) and Intelligent Impact (Aunnie Patton Power’s advisory, teaching and writing work) with a similar set of tasks and responsibilities.

The analyst will be in charge of:

• Creating content for social media posts, newsletters and websites
• Developing and executing marketing strategies to attract new clients
• Helping to coordinating events, trainings and workshops
• Engaging with members and clients
• Conducting research for ongoing projects
• Some budgeting and financial reconciliation

The candidate will need to make use of:

• G-Suite, including Google Sheets (Excel) or Airtable, and Form/survey tools
• WordPress (no experience required)
• Invoicing tools
• Apps: Slack; Zoom; Whatsapp; Social media; Doodle, etc

A successful candidate will have:

• An undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics
• A passion for investment and particularly impact investing / innovative financing
• Experience with social media marketing
• Event planning and coordination
• Excellent writing skills
• The ability to multitask

A successful candidate will be:

Important: 

• This role requires candidates to have their own laptop, smartphone and a permanent internet connection.
• The total estimated time is 2 -3 days per week on average (16 – 24 hours), with periods of high and low activity. The candidate should be reachable at all times during the work week.

Cape Town is the preferred location, but remote working will be considered based on the candidate. 

Compensation range is R15k – 25k ($1,000 – $1,700) per month.

Note there is the possibility to combine this role with the Community Operations Associate for Women in African Investments Group to make create 5 days per week of work.
