Private Debt Financial Analyst – Partners Group

What it’s about

We are seeking a Private Debt Financial Analyst. In this position you will support the impact investment debt team focused on Asia (South and Southeast). Responsibilities include analyzing investment opportunities, supporting due diligence processes, conducting research projects and designing and producing marketing material. The position will be located in either London or Zug (Switzerland).

Your tasks will include:

• Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of social infrastructure assets and social enterprises, including financial modeling, credit risk assessment, impact assessment, industry research and operational analysis
• Working within a team to develop investment structure, conduct on site due diligence and produce investment recommendations
• Contributing to the negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation, coordinating with internal and external counterparties
• Supporting portfolio companies throughout investment period, including supporting and being proactive in all matters arising in the ordinary course of investment management, acting quickly to identify, address and correct issues
• Support ongoing financial reporting, portfolio monitoring and period company/portfolio valuations
• Performing thematic research into emerging business sectors and markets
• Support new product and business initiatives for the private debt platform when necessary
• Working within a deal team to generate a pipeline of high quality investment opportunities
• Assisting the investment team with impact reporting, administration and various ad hoc projects and administration as necessary

What we expect
We are looking for a professional seeking to learn about the impact investments and a willingness to excel within an entrepreneurial organization.

The successful candidate should have:

• At least 2 years work experience in a relevant field (preferably Private Debt, Leveraged Finance, Private Equity or Investment Banking).
• Strong financial modelling skills, investment writing and interpersonal skills
• Experience of working, volunteering or living in the emerging markets preferred
• Self-motivated and proactive team player with excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated passion for impact investing, development finance or social enterprise work
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a challenging environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point
