Senior Analyst: Finance, Compliance & Investment

Our India team is hiring a dynamic self-starter to support our organization and portfolio companies with financial management and compliance. This is a terrific opportunity for someone with strong finance skills and a desire to build a career in impact investing.

Location: Bangalore, India. The team is currently working remotely, but we hope to be back in our office later this fall.

Reports to: Manager, Finance and Investment

Start Date: Open until filled. Resumes will be reviewed starting 6 September

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst will assist in Finance, Compliance & Investment work of Upaya India. He/She will also be a part of the Investment and Portfolio Management Team to support legal & financial due diligence and post-investment compliance support for all the investments of Upaya.

Finance and Compliance

  • Complete the recording of accounting transactions and close the monthly books of accounts in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate with the auditors, banks and consultants for the timely completion of routine compliances.

  • Prepare and keep all the statutory records such as notice and minutes of the board meetings of Upaya India.

  • Timely processing of the payroll of the team.

  • Assist in legal and financial due diligence of all the investments.

  • Review the financial statements and compliance checklist shared by the portfolio companies.

  • Assist the team in managing the portfolio companies’ data.

  • Assist the portfolio companies in preparation of their financial model and projections.

Qualification & Experience

  • Commerce Graduate, CA-Inter.

  • Efficient in MS Office and Google Docs, working knowledge of Tally and QuickBooks.

  • 2 Years of experience other than articleship.
